Reacting to reports that the official could miss World Cup duties, Clinton called the move “terribly backward” and “counterproductive,” arguing global sports should strengthen international ties and cooperation, not create new barriers.
As a World Cup host, the U.S. shouldn't be flippantly barring officials from entering the country to do their jobs.
