14 Juventus stars jet off for international duty as trio earn Azzurri call up

Three Juventus stars have joined Gennaro Gattuso’s Italy squad for a critical World Cup playoff semi-final against Northern Ireland, as fourteen Bianconeri players depart Turin for the final international break of the season.

Federico Gatti, Andrea Cambiaso, and Manuel Locatelli are among fourteen Juventus players called up for international duty this week.

The trio faces a high-pressure World Cup playoff semi-final against Northern Ireland in Bergamo on Thursday.

With Italy desperate to avoid a third consecutive tournament absence, Gattuso’s men must win to advance to a decisive final against either Wales or Bosnia next Tuesday.

Beyond the Azzurri, Kenan Yildiz and Edon Zhegrova face playoffs for Turkiye and Kosovo, respectively.

Meanwhile, nine other Bianconeri stars, including Bremer and Teun Koopmeiners, will participate in international friendlies.

Several key players remain at the Continassa training center, including Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik, who were left out of their national squads following recent “long injury ordeals” to focus on recovery.
