Liverpool agent backs Isak to replace Salah despite poor form

An agent believes Alexander Isak will replace Mohamed Salah’s goals at Liverpool, though Swedish media criticized his “tame” display in Sweden’s loss to Kosovo.

An agent has backed Liverpool striker Alexander Isak to “transform” the club’s attack and eventually replace Mohamed Salah’s goals, despite the Swede’s ongoing struggles.

Isak joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in the summer for a British record £125m, but has scored just once in six matches. The unnamed agent told The Athletic that Isak “will transform Liverpool’s attack for years and help to replace Mohamed Salah.”

Salah, who renewed his deal until 2027, has also had a slow start this season with three goals and three assists in 10 matches. Liverpool are said to be eyeing Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise as another long-term option.

Isak’s dip has extended to international duty, as Sweden’s media slammed his “tame” showing in a 1–0 defeat to Kosovo. He earned a failing grade of 1/5 from Fotboll Skanalen for missing key chances as boos rang around Nya Ullevi. Sweden sit bottom of Group B with one point from four games.
