UEFA is investigating Juventus for potential FFP breaches between 2022 and 2025, with possible financial and sporting penalties.
Juventus confirmed that UEFA has opened an investigation into a possible Financial Fair Play (FFP) violation covering the 2022–2025 financial period. The club disclosed the development in documents ahead of its shareholders’ meeting, noting UEFA contacted them in September over the issue.
The case relates to UEFA’s football earnings rule, which limits clubs to losses of €60 million over three years, with a possible €10 million increase per year under specific financial conditions. Juventus stated the probe could result in “a possible economic sanction … and possible sporting restrictions,” such as limitations on registering new players for UEFA competitions.
The club reported a fiscal loss of €58 million for the 2024–25 year but emphasized that all overdue payables had been respected. A ruling on the case is expected by spring 2026.
