Arsenal apologise to Atletico after complain over hot water failure

Atletico Madrid has lodged an official complaint with UEFA against Arsenal after their players were reportedly left without hot water following a pre-match training session at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

The incident occurred just hours before the clubs were due to meet in a crucial Champions League fixture. The Spanish delegation was left “furious” upon discovering the showers in the visitors’ dressing room were only dispensing cold water, forcing players to forgo post-session washes.

Sources confirmed the complaint focuses on what Atletico deems “unacceptable conditions” for a host club in a major European competition.

Arsenal was quick to issue a formal apology to their counterparts, citing a technical fault for the embarrassing failure. A club spokesperson confirmed the issue was immediately addressed, stating: “We are investigating the cause and we express our deep regret for any inconvenience caused to the visiting team.”

However, the apology did little to mollify the visitors who proceeded with their formal action. The hot water supply was confirmed to be fully operational on Tuesday morning.
