In-form Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has set his sights on achieving major collective success with the Gunners while solidifying his place in the competitive Brazil national team.
The 24-year-old, a key figure in Arsenal’s attack, revealed he sets rigorous internal targets for himself each campaign.
”I am not going to tell you [my goal target]… But before the season started I was talking to my dad and I said: ‘I will score this amount of games and give this amount of assists.’ I always try to have a number in my mind and try to achieve it.”
Despite facing past criticism over his national team inclusion, the forward remains focused on delivering for the Seleção. “I know what I’m doing at my club, I know my ability and I know what I can do.
And you can be sure that I will do my best for the Brazilian team, in whatever I can help the team I will help.” His dual focus highlights his status as one of football’s most ambitious young stars.
