Chelsea add 33 youngsters including Silva and Emenalo sons to Champions League squad

Chelsea has added thirty-three youth players, including Thiago Silva’s and Michael Emenalo’s sons, to their Champions League B list squad, providing Enzo Maresca with a deep pool of emerging talent for upcoming fixtures.

Chelsea has drastically expanded its Champions League options, registering THIRTY-THREE additional young players on the club’s ‘B List’ ahead of upcoming European fixtures.

The move leverages UEFA rules which permit unlimited registration of eligible academy players who are under 21 and have spent a minimum time at the club.

The sudden expansion is reportedly designed “to avoid repeated last-minute registrations,” ensuring the manager has an immediate, deep pool of Cobham graduates for the bench without administrative delays.

Among the extensive list of academy talents, which includes “EIGHT 16-year-olds,” is Landon Emenalo, the son of former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo. Other notable names include Harrison McMahon and Sol Gordon.

While the additions do not guarantee immediate first-team starts, the large B list provides the manager with “flexibility to shuffle the bench without new paperwork,” offering valuable cover for injuries or late-match substitutions in the demanding European campaign.
