Fabrizio Romano says Marcus Rashford has impressed Barcelona teammates with his improved attitude and performances since joining from Manchester United on loan.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Marcus Rashford has earned admiration within the Barcelona dressing room for his professionalism and attitude since his loan move from Manchester United.
Rashford, 27, joined Barcelona in the summer of 2025 on a season-long loan with an option to buy for €30 million (£26m). The England forward has registered five goals and six assists in 12 appearances, including a brace in Barcelona’s 6–1 Champions League win over Olympiakos on Tuesday.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Rashford is sending very clear messages, his desire to be a Barcelona player is there since January 2025… the feeling internally at Barcelona is that Rashford really perfectly fits the structure they have on the tactical point of view.” He added that the club’s management and players “are all very happy with the relationship Rashford has with his team-mates.”
This turnaround contrasts sharply with Rashford’s time at Old Trafford, where he was often criticised for poor attitude and effort. Former United players Paul Parker and Paul Scholes had accused him of being “lazy” and of “quitting on Man Utd.”
Romano noted that if Rashford continues his current form and behaviour, “he will have very good chances to continue at the club beyond this season.”
