Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has removed all references to the club from his social media bios, sparking speculation over his future following his benching in the Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Manager Arne Slot left the Egyptian out of the starting lineup amid criticism over his poor form this season. Salah came on in the 74th minute during Liverpool’s 5-1 win but struggled to make an impact, drawing heavy criticism for refusing to pass to an unmarked Florian Wirtz.
Frustrated, Salah reportedly stormed down the tunnel after the match. The following morning, he deleted Liverpool-related content from Instagram and X, replacing it with personal photos.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher weighed in, saying: “When Mo Salah isn’t being the legendary Mo Salah, he gets treated like one of the other players, which is right. He’s 33 years of age and Liverpool will have three games in six days.”
