Manchester United 4-2 Brighton: United secure third Premier League win

Manchester United recorded a third straight Premier League win after a dramatic 4–2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday, according to Opta Football.

Ruben Amorim’s side went ahead in the 24th minute when Matheus Cunha scored his first goal for the club with a low curling effort into the far corner. Casemiro doubled the lead ten minutes later after his deflected strike wrong-footed goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

Bryan Mbeumo added a third midway through the second half, but Brighton threatened a comeback when former United striker Danny Welbeck netted a stunning free-kick before Charalampos Kostoulas’ late header made it 3–2.

United’s nerves were eased in stoppage time as Mbeumo struck again to seal the points.

The win, following victories over Sunderland and Liverpool, marks the first time United have won three consecutive Premier League games in a season since February 2024, suggesting growing stability under Amorim.
