Vinicius Junior and Lamine Yamal were caught in a heated altercation moments after Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Barcelona in El Clasico, according to LADbible Sports.
Real took the lead through Kylian Mbappe before Fermin Lopez equalised for Barcelona from a Marcus Rashford assist in the 38th minute. Jude Bellingham’s strike five minutes later secured Xabi Alonso’s side a crucial five-point lead at the top of La Liga.
As expected in the fiery rivalry, tempers flared in stoppage time. Pedri was sent off on 100 minutes for a foul on Aurelien Tchouameni, sparking a sideline melee that saw two Real players, including substitute goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, booked.
After the final whistle, Vinicius — who was visibly frustrated after being substituted in the 72nd minute — engaged in a shouting match with Yamal while walking off the pitch. The Brazilian appeared to gesture angrily before being restrained by security.
Fan footage suggested the clash stemmed from an earlier exchange between Yamal and Dani Carvajal, which quickly drew in Eduardo Camavinga and others. Vinicius later joined the confrontation, though it’s unclear what triggered his reaction.
Xabi Alonso downplayed the incident post-match, saying: “The last minute fight? I think it reflected the intensity and the importance of the game. I think it’s healthy competition.”
Both clubs are yet to issue official statements regarding the post-match tension.
