Harry Kane is reportedly considering a move from Bayern Munich to Barcelona as speculation grows over his future.
Harry Kane is reportedly considering leaving Bayern Munich, with Barcelona emerging as a possible destination for the prolific English striker. According to Goal, Kane is assessing his future as his contract renewal talks with Bayern remain unresolved.
The 32-year-old, who is under contract until June 2027, has a release clause of around £57 million (€65m) that could be activated next summer. Barcelona view Kane as a viable replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose deal expires in 2026. While the Catalan giants initially targeted Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland, both players appear financially out of reach for the club.
Reports suggest Barça officials see similarities between Kane and Lewandowski, especially in their technical play and longevity. “Like Lewandowski, Kane has never relied on pace for his goalscoring exploits,” Sport reported, noting that he could still perform at the top level well into his 30s.
However, Barcelona face competition from Premier League clubs and Saudi Arabian sides, with Tottenham Hotspur also linked to their former talisman. Kane, who has scored 25 goals and provided four assists in 20 games this season, remains focused on Bayern’s Champions League campaign but will decide his next move at season’s end.
