Arsenal beat Slavia Prague 3-0 to equal 122-year club record

“Mikel Merino scored twice as Arsenal comfortably beat Slavia Prague.”

Arsenal extended their winning streak to 10 matches and matched a 122-year-old club record for consecutive clean sheets with a 3-0 victory over Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League, according to BBC Sport reporting.

Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute after a VAR review confirmed a handball by Lukas Provod. Mikel Merino, starting up front in place of the injured Viktor Gyokeres, added two second-half goals — volleying home Leandro Trossard’s cross just after the restart and later heading in Declan Rice’s delivery in the 68th minute.

The win also marked Arsenal’s eighth straight clean sheet, equaling a defensive record last achieved in 1903. Slavia Prague briefly thought they had a late penalty, but VAR overturned the decision following a review.

Another milestone came when 15-year-old Max Dowman became the youngest player in Champions League history, breaking Youssoufa Moukoko’s previous record.

Arsenal have now won all four of their Champions League group-stage games and remain unbeaten in 13 matches across all competitions. They next face Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday, while Slavia Prague visit Tottenham on 9 December.
