Awesome Aston Villa cruise to 4-0 victory over Bournemouth

Aston Villa secured a convincing 4-0 Premier League victory over Bournemouth, with stunning goals from Emiliano Buendia and Amadou Onana, complemented by a crucial penalty save from Emiliano Martinez, cementing their European ambitions.

According to Sports Mole reporting, a slick Aston Villa side cruised to a dominant 4-0 victory over Bournemouth at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon, handing the Cherries their first back-to-back Premier League losses of the season.

The result means manager Andoni Iraola has experienced “the worst kind of deja vu” in the West Midlands, as the previous instance of successive defeats for Bournemouth also involved a loss to Aston Villa.

Unai Emery’s side took control of the match early, capitalising after Bournemouth suffered an early injury blow when Adam Smith was forced off following a nasty clash of heads with teammate Tyler Adams. Villa stormed into a 2-0 lead before the break, courtesy of two fantastic strikes.

Emiliano Buendia opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a sumptuous, knuckle-balled free kick, followed by a stunning low strike from Amadou Onana ten minutes later.

The decisive turning point in the second half occurred when Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo was denied from the spot by Villa’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, keeping the score at 2-0.

Following the penalty save, Villa sealed the win emphatically. Cherries nemesis Ross Barkley added a third goal, flicking a marvellous near-post header into the net after a Lucas Digne corner.

Substitute Donyell Malen wrapped up the thrashing in the 82nd minute, netting the fourth via a deflection from a short-corner routine.

While the result seriously enhanced Villa’s Champions League qualification credentials, the manner in which Bournemouth capitulated will be of “serious concern” to Iraola.
