England hit by injury blow as Guéhi, Gordon and Pope sidelined

England will also be without Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope. Gordon has a hip injury and Pope suffered a concussion.

According to ESPN reporting, Marc Guéhi is a major doubt for England national football team’s remaining World Cup qualifying matches after sustaining a foot injury in his club side’s recent game.

Guéhi, who has earned 26 caps since his debut in 2022, injured his foot in the closing stages of Crystal Palace F.C.’s 3-1 win against AZ Alkmaar, suffering a bone bruise and currently being unable to walk without crutches.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner reported: “Marc was fouled in the last minute against Alkmaar. It was a knock on his foot. A bone bruise. He can’t even walk at the moment. The last two days he is on crutches… I don’t know how this develops over the next couple of days. But at the moment it doesn’t look good. It looks like he can’t play for England as well.”

Meanwhile, England will also be without Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope. Gordon has a hip injury and Pope suffered a concussion, ruling both out of the squad ahead of the matches against Serbia national football team and Albania national football team.
