According to a report from BarcaâŻBlaugranes, Barcelona president JoanâŻLaporta firmly rejected speculation that LionelâŻMessi might return to the club on a shortâterm loan.
âOut of respect for Messi, our players, and our members, itâs not the time to speculate with unrealistic scenarios,â Laporta told CatalunyaâŻRadio.
The comment comes amid renewed fan and media chatter about the possibility of the Argentine icon reâjoining the Catalan side temporarily.
Laporta made clear that while Messi remains âhis homeâ, Barcelona will not entertain premature or fanciful return stories.
He emphasised that the clubâs focus lies on its current squad, longâterm projects and the upcoming reopening of the renovated Spotify Camp Nou.
The presidentâs message was unequivocal: the moment for speculation is over, and the club will respect both its members and its legacy by ending these rumours.
With Messiâs departure still a sensitive chapter at Barça, Laporta is keen to guard the institutionâs stability and ensure that any future engagement with the player is handled properly and at the right time.
