Ancelotti advises Endrick amid Real Madrid struggles and transfer interest

Carlo Ancelotti advises Endrick to discuss his limited game time at Real Madrid, while the young Brazilian, also linked with Manchester United, appears set for a loan move to Lyon for more playing opportunities.

Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has advised Real Madrid starlet Endrick to discuss his lack of game time with the club, as interest from Manchester United emerges, though a loan move to Lyon is reportedly finalized.

According to a report from Sports Illustrated FC, the forward, who arrived in Spain with a huge reputation after his €60 million signing in December 2022, has struggled for minutes this season.

Endrick was limited to just three La Liga games and once in the Champions League under Ancelotti in the 2024–25 season. Since Xabi Alonso took over, the teenager has only been given 11 minutes of play and remained an unused substitute 10 times in the current campaign after returning from injury.

Ancelotti, now in charge of the Brazil national team, spoke to local publication Placar about the situation. He stated, “It’s important for Endrick to play again,”

He continued, “I spoke with him at the beginning of the season. He was injured, but now he’s fine, he’s back, and he needs to think with those around him about what’s best. He needs to talk to the club to see what suits him best.”

The former Real Madrid coach reassured the young Brazilian that even if he misses the 2026 World Cup, his age provides many more opportunities.

He added: “Endrick is very young, this won’t be his last World Cup. He could play in 2026, because he has the necessary quality, but also in 2030, 2034, or even 2038.

The important thing is that he plays again and demonstrates his quality.” The lack of minutes has attracted interest from Manchester United, though a move to Lyon on loan is reportedly finalized.
