According to a report from HF World, William Troost‑Ekong has confirmed that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will resume full preparations in Rabat after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) addressed the outstanding payment issues that led to a training boycott.
The squad skipped the scheduled session on Tuesday ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa playoff match against Gabon national football team, citing delayed allowances and bonuses dating back to their participation in major tournaments.
Troost-Ekong posted on X:
“Once a resolution is found we will be the first to confirm. Any other statement/claim or eSPECIALly demands other than the rightful request… is FALSE.”
With the payment dispute resolved, the team is set to resume training today in Rabat and refocus on their match scheduled for Thursday, renewing their aim to secure a path to the expanded 2026 World Cup.
