Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. publicly endorsed Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti, explaining that the Italian manager has been crucial in “evolving” the Selecao by instilling confidence and building a clear playing identity ahead of the next World Cup, according to a report from Goal UK.
Speaking to CBF’s official media, Vinicius Jr. highlighted the profound impact of Carlo Ancelotti, who led Brazil to World Cup qualification after taking over from Real Madrid in the summer.
Ancelotti, who has delivered three wins and two draws in his first six games, is credited with transforming the team’s mentality and focus.
Vinicius emphasized the newfound tactical clarity, stating: “With Ancelotti, we’re evolving and building a clear playing identity. Finding that balance before the World Cup will be crucial. We all have to get into the World Cup mindset and understand that our opportunity has arrived.”
The forward, whose own career flourished under Ancelotti at Madrid, noted the manager’s consistent approach: “He’s done the same thing everywhere he’s gone—instilling confidence and getting the best out of every player in their ideal position.”
