Daniel Munoz dreams of Manchester United move

Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz has expressed his ‘dream’ of playing for clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona, or Real Madrid someday, despite his current focus on Crystal Palace and national team duties.

Daniel Muñoz has publicly disclosed his ambition to join one of Europe’s major clubs, naming Manchester United as one of his “dream” destinations, despite being happy and focused on his current club.

Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Muñoz has put Europe’s biggest clubs on alert after admitting that a move to Manchester United would be a “dream” transfer, according to a report from Football365.

The 29-year-old Colombian international, who joined the Eagles from Genk in January 2024, has rapidly established himself as one of the Premier League’s top right-backs.

Muñoz signed a contract extension until June 2028, but his recent comments suggest his long-term future may lie away from Selhurst Park.

Muñoz explicitly stated his career ambitions in an interview with AS Colombia. When asked about interest from top clubs, the defender replied:

“First of all, I think there’s a lot of talk about one club or another. If you ask me, it would be a dream to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United.”

The wing-back was quick to reassure Palace fans of his commitment, adding: “My focus is on Crystal Palace. We’ll see when the winter transfer window gets closer.”

Muñoz is said to be valued at a minimum of €30 million (£26.4m) by the club. Despite the player’s clear desire for a big move, some reports suggest a transfer to the likes of Manchester United or Real Madrid is unlikely due to his age.

Regardless, Muñoz insisted that he is “working towards that”, striving every day to “attract the attention of one of these clubs” after a stellar period that has seen him score eight goals and provide 14 assists in 81 appearances for Palace.
