Super Eagles will be back in Morocco next month following their World Cup disappointment
The Nigerian Super Eagles are reeling after a 1-0 World Cup playoff defeat to DR Congo last Sunday officially ended their 2026 qualification hopes.
With their World Cup dream shattered, the team’s focus now immediately shifts to redemption at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. The tournament runs from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
CAF’s official draw has placed Nigeria in a competitive Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania. The Super Eagles will begin their campaign at the Fez Stadium against Tanzania on December 23, 2025.
