Sesko ruled out of Everton clash but set for December return – Report

Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko is expected to return in December despite missing the Everton match due to a knee injury, according to a report from ESPN.

Manchester United forward Benjamin Sesko is expected to make a swift return from injury despite being ruled out of Monday’s Premier League fixture against Everton, according to a report from ESPN.

The striker sustained a knee problem during the 2-2 draw with Tottenham before the international break and subsequently withdrew from Slovenia’s squad to receive treatment at Carrington. Initial scans ruled out a major issue, and while further assessments confirmed he would spend time on the sidelines, the outlook remains positive, with hopes he will be fit again before the start of the Christmas fixtures.

Sesko is set to miss Everton’s visit to Old Trafford as well as United’s final November match against Crystal Palace on Nov. 30. Ruben Amorim’s side face a congested December schedule, including games against West Ham, Wolves, Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Newcastle and another meeting with Wolves. Sesko has scored two goals in 12 appearances since joining from RB Leipzig in the summer.

His absence is expected to keep Bryan Mbeumo as the focal point of Amorim’s attack. The Cameroon international has scored six goals in 12 games following his arrival from Brentford. Sesko’s injury could also influence the future of Joshua Zirkzee, who is considering a January move for more playing time to boost his World Cup hopes. Roma are reportedly interested, but Amorim may resist letting his only other recognised centre forward leave. United also anticipate interest in midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who is wanted by Napoli.
