Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario took to social media to accept ‘full responsibility’ for a crucial mistake that led to a goal in the 2-1 loss against Fulham.
According to a report from Football-Italia.net, Italy international goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario addressed his costly mistake that directly led to Tottenham’s second goal conceded during their home Premier League match against Fulham on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
The former Empoli star, 29, “made headlines for the wrong reasons in England yesterday” after he “rushed outside his box to get the ball, but got the clearance wrong as he made a forward pass rather than going for the safer option and kicking the ball out.”
Vicario immediately took accountability for the blunder on his personal social media. Writing on Instagram, he stated:
“I take full responsibility for the second goal we conceded. Moments like this hurt, especially when the results aren’t going our way. Now more than ever, it’s time to fight even harder and give everything for this club. COYS.”
The goalkeeper, who made his senior Azzurri debut in March 2024 and has five international appearances, has kept seven clean sheets in 19 total appearances across all competitions for Tottenham this season, while conceding 25 goals.
