Tai Sodje, once a prolific Manchester City academy striker alongside Cole Palmer, has found a new beginning at non-league Buxton. After a decade with City and battling injuries, the 22-year-old has scored 14 goals in four months, leading Buxton to an FA Cup second-round tie against Cheltenham Town.
Sodje draws inspiration from former teammates like Palmer, now an England international. He views his move to Buxton as “my next chapter, a fresh page,” focusing on playing and scoring, and finds joy even in non-league, calling a Buxton FA Cup winner “the best goal I have ever seen.”
