Destiny Udogie has broken his silence regarding the alleged gun threat he experienced in London, publicly thanking the club for their continuous support in keeping him and his family safe through the legal ordeal.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie has publicly thanked the club for their support after he was allegedly threatened with a gun by a football agent in London in September.
The Italy international confirmed the incident was a “shock” but expressed gratitude to Spurs for prioritizing his safety.
Udogie told The Athletic, “The club showed me good support and was next to me every day. I’m really grateful to them for what they have done and for keeping me and my family safe.”
The club previously confirmed they have been providing continuous support to Udogie and his family since the alleged incident, which remains an ongoing legal matter.
Udogie, who has since played 15 times for Spurs this season, emphasized the importance of the club’s presence while living in a new and large city:
“It was not something I’d wish on anyone. It was a shock. But it’s OK, now we look forward.”
