David Moyes has opened up on his relationship with Jack Grealish, highlighting a “no b*****t” approach that the player appreciates. Grealish, on loan from Manchester City, credited Moyes for reigniting his love for the game after scoring Everton’s winner against Bournemouth.
Everton manager David Moyes has explained his straight-talking approach to getting the best out of midfielder Jack Grealish, who recently scored the winning goal against Bournemouth.
Moyes insists the high-profile player thrives on honesty: “I’ve got no problem telling Jack straight and correctly, I don’t need to tell him any lies or b*****t, and he’s big enough and man enough to accept it whether it’s good or bad.”
The Blues boss also credited the Everton supporters, stating he only showed Grealish “a bit of love and the crowd here have done a brilliant job with him.”
Grealish, on loan from Manchester City, had earlier praised Moyes, admitting:
“I love the manager to pieces… I can’t speak highly enough of him as a person, how he makes me feel and how me makes me want to go and play for him.”
