United States President Donald Trump received the inaugural Fifa Peace Prize during the 2026 Fifa World Cup draw ceremony in Washington DC. Fifa President Gianni Infantino introduced the award to honor individuals for “exceptional and extraordinary actions for peace” and for “united people across the world.”
Trump expressed profound honor, claiming to have “stopped wars” and saved “tens of millions of lives.” He praised Infantino’s work, stating, “This is truly one of the great honours of my life,” while co-hosting the draw with leaders from Mexico and Canada.
