Arne Slot sees improvement despite Leeds draw

Liverpool boss Arne Slot admitted that repeated poor results are “hard to take” for his fighting squad, even as he insisted the team is “improving” despite throwing away a lead in the 3-3 draw with Leeds.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot admitted that repeated poor results, including a 3-3 draw at Leeds after conceding a late equalizer, are taking a toll on his players.

The reigning champions have only won once in their last five league games. Slot acknowledged the effort, stating:

“I think we’re improving. Individuals are improving, performances are improving, but it’s hard to take for these players as well.”

Despite the setback, Slot defended his squad, noting, “They’re putting so much effort in and fighting so hard and not to get the result so many times, one after the other, I think we can understand that does do something to an individual and to a team.”

He added that he sees “many things well” and “can take a lot of positives” from the performance against a very difficult opponent.
