Yves Bissouma faces Tottenham axe over alleged balloon video

Tottenham Hotspur has launched an investigation into midfielder Yves Bissouma after footage allegedly showing him inhaling laughing gas emerged, raising serious questions about the player’s future and making him susceptible to being “axed.”

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is facing potential disciplinary action and the “axe” after an alleged video emerged online showing him inhaling nitrous oxide, or “laughing gas,” from a balloon.

The Premier League club has confirmed the launch of an internal investigation into the footage, which was reportedly filmed on November 3.

This incident is the second alleged offense for the 29-year-old, who previously apologized for a “severe lack of judgement” following a similar occurrence in 2024.

Currently recovering from a serious ankle injury, Bissouma’s history of disciplinary issues, including persistent lateness, means his position and contract at the club are now under severe scrutiny.
