The Times’ Paul Joyce reports that Liverpool owners FSG are giving Arne Slot their full backing and Salah’s recent explosive outburst over team selection will “have no bearing” on their decision to keep the manager.
Liverpool’s ownership, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), is standing firmly behind manager Arne Slot despite Mohamed Salah’s recent explosive post-match comments.
The Egyptian forward claimed he was “being thrown under the bus” after being benched in the 3-3 draw with Leeds United, but The Times’ Paul Joyce reports this outburst will not affect Slot’s position.
Joyce stated that “no club that stands for anything sacks its coach on the back of a player challenging team selection.”
FSG is determined to see Slot navigate this difficult period, giving him their full backing. While “patience will not be limitless,” the manager’s future depends on “results… not Salah stamping his feet.”
