Liverpool manager Arne Slot responded to Mohamed Salah’s “thrown him under the bus” comment by denying their relationship is broken and insisting, “I am a firm believer there’s always a possibility to return.”
According to a report from GiveMeSport, Liverpool manager Arne Slot addressed Mohamed Salah’s public claim that the club had “thrown him under the bus” after the forward was benched for the third straight game.
Following the remarks, the Egyptian star was omitted from the squad traveling for the Champions League clash against Inter Milan.
Slot stated that the only official communication was to let Salah know he was “not travelling with us,” and admitted, “It was a surprise to me when I heard his comments.”
Slot insisted that their relationship was not broken, stating, “No, that’s not the way I feel, but he has the right to feel how he feels things. I haven’t felt that at all until Saturday evening, for sure.”
While he confirmed a path back, saying, “I am a firm believer there’s always a possibility to return,” Slot conceded that he was unable to answer the question of whether Salah has played his last game for the club, admitting, “I have no clue.”
