The FA Cup Third Round draw saw Manchester United host fellow Premier League side Brighton, Liverpool draw Barnsley, and defending champions Crystal Palace begin their campaign with a trip to sixth-tier club Macclesfield.
According to a report from the Daily Star, the FA Cup third round draw has been finalized, with all Premier League teams joining the competition and learning their opponents on Monday evening.
Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal were among the top clubs entering the pot ahead of the Brackley Town vs Burton Albion match.
The draw features at least three non-league teams, with sixth-tier sides Macclesfield and Weston-super-Mare being the lowest-ranked clubs remaining in the competition.
Defending champions Crystal Palace are set to start their cup defense with an away fixture against Macclesfield.
Manchester United, led by Ruben Amorim, will be looking to bounce back in a cup competition after their “embarrassing” League Cup exit to Grimsby Town earlier this season; they will host fellow Premier League side Brighton.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool, who are hoping the FA Cup can salvage “a poor season,” have been drawn against Barnsley.
Other notable fixtures include Tottenham Hotspur hosting Aston Villa and Charlton Athletic facing Chelsea.
The third round draw also set up a potential tie for Boreham Wood against either Brackley Town or Burton Albion.
