Inter Milan is set to host a crisis-hit Liverpool side at the San Siro on Tuesday night for a pivotal Champions League League Phase clash, according to a report from Sports Mole.
The 13th-placed Reds have managed nine points from their five opening fixtures in this season’s tournament, but chaos reigns supreme following a stunning home humiliation.
The team suffered a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of PSV Eindhoven on Matchday 5, a result which equaled an unwanted 96-year-old record—the first time since the 1929-30 season that Liverpool have suffered three home losses by at least three goals.
The situation worsened after a recent 3-3 draw against Leeds United, where unused substitute Mohamed Salah dropped a massive bombshell, “accusing Liverpool of throwing him under the bus and admitting that his relationship with head coach Arne Slot was now non-existent.”
Salah is consequently expected to be left out of the lineup. Coach Slot is under immense pressure, and a prediction of a 3-1 Inter victory suggests the result could plunge his future into “further uncertainty.”
