Despite Liverpool’s poor form and the controversy surrounding star Mohamed Salah, Inter striker Marcus Thuram warned his team that the “wounded” Premier League side remains “a dangerous proposition” in the upcoming Champions League encounter.
Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram expressed caution ahead of their Champions League clash, refusing to underestimate a Liverpool side enduring a “torrid run of form,” according to a report from FotMob.
The French striker was wary despite Liverpool’s poor run since September, which includes being “thumped 4-1 at home by PSV” in Europe and winning just two of their last 10 league games. Thuram stated: “I don’t think so, each game is an individual episode.”
Liverpool’s off-field struggles intensified when Mohamed Salah, now excluded from the traveling squad, suggested the club had “thrown him under the bus” after a 3-3 draw.
Despite the drama, Inter’s Thuram insisted: “We’ll play against a strong team with a lot of champions in their squad. Everyone says it’s the right time to face Liverpool, but maybe it isn’t.”
Thuram, who just scored his 31st Serie A goal for Inter, also confirmed he is “ready” to play despite fitness concerns.
