Alejandro Garnacho opens up on Manchester United exit: ‘no regrets’ over Chelsea move

Alejandro Garnacho confirmed he has “no regrets” about leaving the club for Chelsea, stating that the move “was an easy decision” necessary “to improve as a player.”

Former Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has made it clear he has “no regrets” about his Old Trafford departure, according to a report from the Manchester Evening News.

The Argentina international, who fell out of favor under Ruben Amorim after being omitted from the Europa League final starting lineup, left for Chelsea this past summer.

He confirmed that moving to Stamford Bridge “was an easy decision” during a pre-match press briefing.

Garnacho, 21, explained that sometimes it is necessary “to change things to take a step forward or to improve as a player.”

Now at Chelsea, he is focused on his development under manager Enzo Maresca. Garnacho has praised the Blues boss, stating Maresca “explained to me everything and now working together, I think we are doing well.”

The winger, who has scored his first Premier League and Champions League goals for Chelsea, emphasized the importance of his manager’s faith.

“The most important thing is confidence. He speaks with me every week and I think we are going to be better, me as a player and the team all together, with time,” Garnacho said.
