Former Tottenham captain Heung-Min Son returned to the Hotspur Stadium to give an emotional farewell speech, declaring he would “always be Spurs” and inviting fans to “come visit LA when you want.”
Heung-Min Son made an emotional return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, addressing the crowd before their 3-0 Champions League victory over Slavia Prague.
The former Spurs captain, who had an incredible 10-year spell, told supporters: “I will be always Spurs, and I’ll be always with you. This will be always my home.” His speech served as a proper farewell following his move to Los Angeles.
Son then made a memorable and highly unusual offer to the Tottenham faithful, inviting them to stay connected across the Atlantic.
He passionately told the crowd: “Please, stay with me, and come visit LA when you want. I would love to have you guys.”
Son’s return was timed perfectly, as he watched his former teammates secure a comfortable win.
