City struggled initially, but their quality shone through just before the break when Haaland headed home clinically from a Nunes delivery in the 41st minute. Palace responded briefly, forcing two quick saves from Donnarumma.
Foden doubled the lead in the 69th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box before substitute Savinho won a late penalty, which Haaland converted in the 89th minute.
