AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa praised Qatar’s world-class organization of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 while congratulating Morocco on their victory over Jordan in the final.
Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has officially commended Qatar for its exceptional organization of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025.
Sheikh Salman noted that the tournament was executed according to the highest international standards, utilizing modern infrastructure.
He emphasized that the event’s operational success has successfully “reinforced the country’s position as a leading host of major global sporting events,” following the nation’s continued investment in elite athletic facilities.
The AFC chief, who also serves as FIFA’s First Vice-President, highlighted that the tournament’s success stemmed from effective cooperation between FIFA and various national football bodies.
He praised the technical level of the competition, suggesting such regional events are vital for developing talent and fostering sportsmanship.
Sheikh Salman stated that Qatar’s adherence to “top technical and operational standards” ensured the competition was presented in a way that met global expectations for premier football.
In his closing remarks, Sheikh Salman congratulated Morocco on securing the title following their 3-2 victory over Jordan in the final.
He described Morocco’s win as a reflection of their “high technical level and the strong international standing of Moroccan football.”
Additionally, he acknowledged the progress of Jordanian football, noting that their performance as runners-up demonstrated “growing regional and international ambitions” as the 2025 tournament concluded with high acclaim for all participants.
