Andoni Iraola praised Bournemouth’s performance in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea while confirming that key forward Antoine Semenyo will not be leaving the club.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola expressed a mixture of pride and frustration following his side’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Despite the hard-earned point away from home, the Cherries boss felt the scoreline did not fully reflect his team’s dominance in front of goal.
Reflecting on the missed opportunities, Iraola noted, “It is not a point you think we have survived and found a point here at Stamford Bridge, it was not like this.”
The manager also took the opportunity to address mounting speculation regarding the future of star forward Antoine Semenyo.
Amid heavy transfer links, Iraola was firm in his stance that the player remains central to the club’s plans moving forward.
Discussing the striker’s status, he stated, “He is a massive player for us and he will still be with us. It is not the last game he has played for us.”
