Eddie Howe rules himself out of vacant Man United role

Eddie Howe has rejected speculation linking him to the Manchester United managerial vacancy, stating he remains fully committed to his long-term project at Newcastle United.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has officially ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Manchester United job.

Speaking on Tuesday, Howe dismissed growing speculation linking him to Old Trafford following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim.

Despite the high-profile nature of the vacancy, Howe emphasized his dedication to the Magpies, stating, “I’m 100 percent here, working as hard as I can, head down, ignoring all the stuff that you guys write.”

The managerial merry-go-round intensified after Amorim was sacked on Monday following a controversial post-match interview.

Howe, who has also been linked to Chelsea recently, made it clear that personal fulfillment outweighs the allure of other positions.

He told reporters: “The most important thing for me is happiness in the role, happiness in the job, the relationships I have with the people around me… at the moment, I am very happy.”

Howe is currently in his fifth season at St James’ Park, having recently ended the club’s 56-year trophy drought.

With Newcastle positioned ninth in the Premier League and within striking distance of Champions League qualification, he remains focused on the task at hand.

When asked if anything could tempt him away, he replied, “No, not at this current time,” ahead of his side’s upcoming clash against Leeds United.
