Atletico Madrid officially confirmed on Thursday that winger Giuliano Simeone has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2030, rewarding his transformation into a vital starter under his father’s management.
Though the agreement was reached in November, the ceremonial signing alongside CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín cements a deal that includes a significant wage increase reflecting his improved status on the pitch.
Since returning from loan spells at Real Zaragoza and Alavés, the younger Simeone has become a fixture on the right flank, amassing 77 appearances, eight goals, and 16 assists.
This long-term commitment arrives amid a transitional period for the club’s ownership, yet it ensures that even as “Atletico have not yet opened fresh talks with Simeone [Diego] over a new deal,” the Simeone legacy is set to continue on the pitch for the remainder of the decade.
