Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey is set to return to Villa Park as his loan spell at Roma ‘comes to an end’ following a difficult period in Italy.
Despite having an admirer in Roma’s sporting director Frederic Massara, Bailey struggled to secure regular playing time, managing only seven Serie A appearances without a goal or assist, leading reports to confirm he ‘returns immediately’ to the Premier League.
As Villa currently works on finalizing a deal for Besiktas striker Tammy Abraham, the club must now decide whether to reintegrate Bailey into Unai Emery’s squad or seek a new destination for the winger before the January transfer window closes.
