Senegal rewards AFCON heroes with multi-million Euro bonuses and prime real estate

In a sweeping gesture of national appreciation, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has announced a massive rewards package for the victors of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The “Lions of Teranga” are set to receive significant financial bonuses and prime real estate following their successful campaign in Morocco.

Under the new directive, each player will be awarded €115,000 in cash alongside a 1,500 square meter plot of land located on the prestigious Petite Côte, a sought-after coastal region south of Dakar.

The rewards extend beyond the pitch to include the technical and administrative staff who supported the championship run.

Members of the Football Federation are slated to receive €75,000 each and 1,000 square meters of land, while Ministry officials who traveled with the team will share a collective pool of €465,000 in addition to their own land allotments.

This unprecedented incentive highlights the government’s commitment to sports as a pillar of national pride and follows a tradition of high-stakes rewards for continental success in Senegalese football.
