David Moyes admits Jack Grealish concerns following gruelling injury

Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed that star loanee Jack Grealish is facing a significant period on the sidelines after sustaining a stress fracture in his foot, an injury that may require surgery and could prematurely end his season.

The 30-year-old England international, who has been a pivotal figure for the Toffees this term, reportedly played through the discomfort during a “mature display” against his former club Aston Villa before a specialist consultation revealed the severity of the damage.

Expressing his deep disappointment, Moyes noted that while the medical team has yet to provide a definitive recovery timeline, the loss is a “big blow” to the squad’s ambitions.

“It’s not for me to give the timescales – we’ve not got it yet from the doctors – but he has a stress fracture in his foot, that’s all I can tell you,” Moyes stated, adding that the player “is a boy who doesn’t want to be injured and he wants to play every game.”
