Man United legend slams Arsenal for entitlement in PL title race

Former Premier League striker Teddy Sheringham has launched a scathing critique of Arsenal’s current mentality, accusing Mikel Arteta’s squad of possessing a dangerous sense of entitlement regarding their results.

Sheringham suggested that the Gunners have begun to take their status as a top side for granted, failing to respect the inherent unpredictability of the English top flight.

Emphasizing the need for consistent work rate over reputation, Sheringham argued, “They are talking as if they are entitled to win every game now.

They think because you are a good team you are entitled to win games. But you’re not. That’s not football. That’s not the Premier League, you have to make sure that you win every game.”

The veteran forward concluded by warning that while some opponents might “roll over,” the North London side will continue to drop points if they overlook teams capable of performing “very, very well on the day.”
