Spalletti demands new striker at Juventus despite impressive win over Napoli

Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti lauded his side’s growth following a decisive 3-0 victory over defending champions Napoli on Sunday, a result that moves the Bianconeri within one point of the Serie A summit.

While Jonathan David found the net for his fourth goal of the season, Spalletti used his post-match interview to emphasize the need for a more physical center-forward in the January window to “battle physically with the centre-back,” noting that while David is a clinical finisher, the squad lacks a target man like Rasmus Højlund.

Despite his call for reinforcements, the manager was left awestruck by the performance of Kenan Yildiz, who thrived in a forward role. Speaking to Sky Sport, Spalletti gushed over the young talent, stating,

“Yildiz played as a striker and scored. He’s an alien; he’s not a normal footballer,” while further joking that the player only makes mistakes “just to see if he can fit into normality.”
