During the Festa de l’Esport Catala, Barcelona president Joan Laporta outlined the club’s ambitious roadmap for the remainder of the season, emphasizing a desire to build on their recent Spanish Super Cup success and historic previous campaign.
Laporta praised goalkeeper Joan Garcia, calling his recent award “recognition for Barça because we have the best goalkeeper in the world,” before pivoting to the team’s collective goals under manager Hansi Flick.
With Barcelona currently leading La Liga, the president identified direct Champions League qualification as an immediate priority, stating,
“The main objective this season is to be in all the competitions we are competing in until the end and win as many as we can.”
Expressing high confidence in the current sporting project, Laporta noted that while football remains unpredictable, his “intuition tells me that we are doing a great job and that we will be able to surpass what we achieved last season.”
