La Liga launches €50 rewards for reporting pirated streaming of matches

La Liga is offering fans 50 euros for each verified tip-off regarding bars or restaurants illegally broadcasting football matches without a commercial license.

The Spanish league has intensified its campaign against audio-visual fraud by offering a 50-euro reward for verified reports of establishments broadcasting matches illegally.

Bars, restaurants, and betting shops are required to subscribe to specific commercial packages to show games legally.

La Liga stated that authorized broadcasts are marked with a distinct on-screen letter, allowing patrons to identify if a screening is permitted.

Patrons who encounter unauthorized broadcasts are encouraged to email the league with photographic evidence to facilitate verification.

La Liga has also established a dedicated channel for fans to anonymously denounce piracy.

The league remains one of Europe’s most aggressive organizations in fighting audio-visual fraud, asserting that these measures protect the intellectual property and commercial interests of Spanish football clubs.
