Raheem Sterling is currently in discussions with seven Champions League-level clubs following the mutual termination of his Chelsea contract.
The 31-year-old winger became a free agent on Wednesday after a difficult spell at Stamford Bridge, which included being frozen out of the first team.
Chelsea confirmed his departure in a statement, saying, “We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player.”
Despite his high wages previously hindering a sale, Sterling’s free-agent status has sparked significant interest from top European sides.
The former Manchester City star is reportedly eager to remain at the elite level and is now open to moves outside of London.
His representatives are working to secure a quick resolution, as the winger hasn’t played competitively since his loan spell at Arsenal ended.
