Length of Jude Bellingham’s injury absence revealed

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is set to miss a month of action, including a Champions League tie, due to a left-leg muscle injury.

Real Madrid have confirmed that midfielder Jude Bellingham will miss approximately one month after sustaining a hamstring injury against Rayo Vallecano.

Medical tests performed Monday diagnosed the England international with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg.

The club released a statement saying: “Following tests carried out today… he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle.”

The injury occurs at a critical juncture, forcing Bellingham to miss the Champions League Round of 32 clash against Benfica.

Additionally, the midfielder is expected to sit out LaLiga fixtures against Valencia, Real Sociedad, Osasuna, and Getafe. Managerial staff are expected to lean on Eduardo Camavinga to fill the creative void.

The medical report concluded by stating the player is currently “awaiting evolution.”
